Inverness, FL – HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is pleased to announce the successful completion of its "We Show Up for Our Schools" school supply drive, held in July. The initiative, which aimed to support local students and teachers, resulted in an impressive total of 5,042 items collected for the Citrus County Education Foundation.

Hospital colleagues, from physicians to administrative staff, rallied together to contribute a wide array of school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and other essential materials. These contributions will directly benefit students in need across Citrus County, ensuring they start the school year equipped and ready to succeed.

"At HCA Florida Citrus Hospital, we believe in the power of community and the importance of education," said Lisa Nummi, chief executive officer (CEO) of HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. "Our colleagues' enthusiasm and generosity in this school supply drive reflect our commitment to supporting the future of our community. We are honored to partner with the Citrus County Education Foundation and look forward to seeing the positive impact these supplies will have on our local students."

The collected supplies will be distributed by the Citrus County Education Foundation through the Supplies 4 Success Teacher Store to ensure students and teachers have the tools they need for a successful school year.
