HCA Florida Citrus Hospital brings cancer survivorship series to a close with yoga seminar
Join Citrus Hospital for the final cancer survivorship seminar of 2024
Inverness, FL (Oct. 16, 2024) – HCA Florida Citrus Hospital will continue its cancer survivorship series on Tuesday, November 12 at 5:30pm in HCA Florida Citrus Hospital’s Gulf Room, located in the hospital’s historic school building at 502 W Highland Blvd in Inverness.
“Mindfulness, Movement and Breath” will be guided by physical therapist and certified yoga teacher, Lynn Mendicino. Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years to improve physical and emotional wellbeing. It cultivates self-awareness by balancing body, mind and spirit and encourages to never push beyond one's limits. Yoga's benefits for cancer patients and survivors include a sense of well-being, incorporation of relaxation and stress reducing techniques into everyday life, reduction of fatigue and relief from anxiety. Mendicino will share centering and mindfulness, breathwork and a few minutes of all-access gentle movement (asana) to leave attendees feeling relaxed and calm with plenty of time for integration, sharing and questions.
Cancer survivorship begins at diagnosis and refers to anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer, no matter where they are in the course of their disease. All are welcome to attend. Seating is limited so an RSVP is required. Call (855) 422-8474 or visit HCAFloridaHealthcare.com to reserve your seat.
