HCA Florida Largo Hospital reopens its main campus Emergency Department on Friday, November 15, 2024. The ED had been closed for repairs after Hurricane Milton.  The hospital now again provides 24/7 emergency services in the main emergency department at 201 14th Street South West in Largo.

The Emergency Department has reopened to provide services to the community 24/7 seven days a week. The hospital closed on October 10, 2024 following flash flooding from Hurricane Milton.  In collaboration with the State of Florida, the hospital opened a temporary mobile medical unit on its campus to continue providing emergency services as the community recovered from back to back hurricanes.

Patients are now being seen in the regular Emergency Department at the hospital main campus.  Inpatient services remain closed until early December while repairs are made to other parts of the building.  Until that time, emergency patients needing inpatient services will be transferred for inpatient care.  Other area HCA Florida Healthcare hospitals continue to provide needed services to the community and are temporarily housing Largo Hospital specialty programs, including transplant programs for heart, liver, and kidney, until the hospital fully reopens.
