Sun City Center, FL – As part of its commitment to raising awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation, HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is proud to announce its collaboration with LifeLink, an organ recovery organization, in celebrating National Donate Life Month. In honor of this significant occasion, the hospital hosted a flag raising ceremony on Tuesday, April 30th, demonstrating its unwavering support for the lifesaving mission of organ donation.

The flag raising ceremony took place at South Shore Hospital where hospital leadership, Board of Trustees members and representatives from LifeLink came together to commemorate the gift of life and the impact of organ donation on individuals and families.

“We are honored to partner with LifeLink in observance of National Donate Life Month.” said Cathy Edmisten, CEO of HCA Florida South Shore Hospital. “Organ donation has the power to transform lives, and this ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the selfless act of giving. By raising the Donate Life flag, we symbolize our dedication to promoting organ donation awareness and supporting those touched by this noble cause.”
