South Shore Hospital celebrates National Donate Life Month with flag raising ceremony
The hospital hosted a flag raising ceremony with representatives from Lifelink.
Sun City Center, FL – As part of its commitment to raising awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation, HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is proud to announce its collaboration with LifeLink, an organ recovery organization, in celebrating National Donate Life Month. In honor of this significant occasion, the hospital hosted a flag raising ceremony on Tuesday, April 30th, demonstrating its unwavering support for the lifesaving mission of organ donation.
The flag raising ceremony took place at South Shore Hospital where hospital leadership, Board of Trustees members and representatives from LifeLink came together to commemorate the gift of life and the impact of organ donation on individuals and families.

By raising the Donate Life flag, we symbolize our dedication to promoting organ donation awareness and supporting those touched by this noble cause.”
The flag raising ceremony was a meaningful event, symbolizing unity, compassion and the profound impact of organ donation on individuals and communities. In 2023, South Shore Hospital had seven tissue donors. On average, one tissue donor can enhance the lives of 75 individuals. South Shore Hospital is proud to support National Donate Life Month.
