Englewood Hospital welcomes Julia Fugit, RN, CMSRN as director of nursing
Julia Fugit, RN, CMSRN wants to make a difference in the lives of others in her new position as Director of Nursing for HCA Florida Englewood Hospital.
HCA Florida Englewood Hospital announced that Julia Fugit, RN, CMSRN has been named director of nursing for Med Surg, Float Pool and the Nursing Supervisors.
Julia’s nursing career spans 14 years. Since joining HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital six years ago, she has served as nursing manager for the Step-Down IMCU, nursing manager of PCU, clinical nurse coordinator for PCU and RN on PCU.
Julia earned her nursing degree from Medical Prep Institute of Tampa and a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse certification from Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses.
When asked why she chose healthcare as a career, she shared, “I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Healthcare is also so rewarding. Every day I meet a patient that motivates me. Teamwork is very important to me and I can’t wait to be part of the Englewood family.”
In her free time, she volunteers with a sea turtle patrol helping the sea turtles that make their nests on our Florida beaches. She marks the nests, collects data and helps the hatchlings.
Julia's first day in Englewood is Monday, March 18.
