Jessy's Toy Box donates toys, bringing joy to young Englewood Hospital patients

Jessy's Toy Box donated toys to HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, continuing its mission to bring joy to hospitalized children in honor of James "Jessy" Haberman.

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital and HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency extend heartfelt gratitude to Barb and Paul Haberman for their generous donation of toys to pediatric patients.

The Habermans are dedicated volunteers with Jessy’s Toy Box, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to brightening the days of hospitalized children by providing new toys, books, games, and crafts. Their mission is inspired by James “Jessy” Haberman, a beloved family member who spent significant time in hospitals receiving treatment. After experiencing the joy of receiving a special gift during his stay, Jessy envisioned bringing that same happiness to other young patients. Today, his family carries on his legacy through toy donations in his honor.

Barb Haberman recently visited the hospital to present a generous supply of new toys to Charlie Snider, Vice President of Human Resources. “It is heartwarming,” she shared. “The nurses are just as thrilled to get the toys so they can use them to relieve stress on these kids.”

These thoughtful contributions will make hospital visits a little easier—and a lot brighter—for children receiving care. HCA Florida Englewood Hospital extends its sincere appreciation to the Habermans, Jessy’s Toy Box, and the many businesses that support this meaningful initiative.
