Largo, FL — HCA Florida Largo Hospital is pleased to announce that it has been designated a Comprehensive Stroke Center, reflecting the highest level of competence for treatment of stroke.

The DNV Healthcare Comprehensive Stroke Center certification is based on standards set forth by the CMS Conditions of Participation for Hospitals, Guidelines of the Brain Attack Coalition and Recommendations of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association® and affirms that the medical center addresses the full spectrum of stroke care — diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and education — and established clear metrics to evaluate outcomes.

“We are excited to receive this designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing our community high-quality stroke care treatment close to home,” says Sebastian Strom, MD, chief executive officer at HCA Florida Largo Hospital.
