New colorectal surgeon joins HCA Florida Memorial Hospital
HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is excited to welcome Andrew Schlussel, DO, as the facility’s newest care provider.
Jacksonville, FL — HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is excited to welcome board-certified and fellowship trained colon and rectal surgeon, Andrew Schlussel, DO, as the facility’s newest care provider.
Dr. Schlussel entered the field of colorectal surgery to offer a comprehensive range of care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. He provides detailed surgical treatment for a variety of conditions, such as colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, bowel dysfunction, colorectal disorders and diverticulitis.
“I believe that each patient’s unique issues deserve an inclusive and individualized approach to ensure optimal, patient-centered outcomes,” said Dr. Schlussel. “I look forward to working with our dedicated surgical staff to provide the resources that will improve our patient’s quality of life.”
Dr. Schlussel earned his medical degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, FL and completed his residency in general surgery from Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served 15 years on Active Duty, and he currently continues to support the medical mission of our Armed Forces in the U.S. Army Reserves.
