Lisa Tzanakis announced as chief operating officer at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital
HCA Florida Ocala Hospital announced today the appointment of Lisa Tzanakis as the new chief operating officer at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital, effective today.
Tzanakis most recently served as chief operating officer with HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, where for two years she was instrumental in the execution and management of $115 million in capital expansion and renovation projects. Projects during her tenure included the addition of two new cardiac catheterization labs and two freestanding emergency rooms. She also played a key role in the operational and emergency management response to Hurricane Ian, a catastrophic category 5 hurricane, which required evacuation of the facility and reconstruction of the third and fourth floors. Tzanakis helped lead the reopen the third and fourth floors and the return of the hospital to full service in less than 100 days. Additionally, Tzanakis has had executive oversight of surgical, procedural, and operational departments and served on the Board of Trustees of the local Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.
