Carla W. Johnson recently had total knee replacement surgery at Aventura Hospital. "This has been a fantastic experience, especially as a first time patient in a hospital. The staff have been phenomenal. They have been professional, courteous, compassionate and willing to do whatever it takes to make your recovery more comfortable.", shared Carla as she was getting ready to leave the hospital and go home.

Carla's surgery was performed by Dr. Eric Schiffman, Orthopedic Surgeon as part of Aventura Hospital's new Ortho-Ethos Program, which for Carla "was a great way to introduce me to what to expect during my hospital stay and get me prepared for my actual surgery."

Mentioning Dr. Schiffman brought a warm smile to Carla's face. "Dr. Schiffman was compassionate and understanding of my condition and shared information I needed to make the most appropriate decision for my healthcare. I would tell anyone that Dr. Schiffman did my total knee replacement and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs knee replacement surgery."

What will Carla do next? "I love to get on the dance floor and I have not been able to do that. I look forward to be able to dance the two step!"
