HCA Florida Memorial Hospital Earns DNV Primary Stroke Center Certification Plus
Jacksonville, FL – HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is proud to achieve its Primary Stroke Center Certification Plus (PSCC Plus) from the DNV Healthcare Accreditation Services Quality and Patient Safety. The DNV Primary Plus Stroke Center Certification Program of DNV Healthcare USA Inc., integrates certain requirements for the CMS Conditions of Participation for hospitals, Guidelines of the Brain Attack Coalition and Recommendations of the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association®.
“The DNV certification recognizes our hospital for the timely specialized care we provide to our stroke patients,” said Ravi Pande, MD, Neurointerventionalist and Medical Director of HCA Florida Memorial Hospital’s Stroke Program.
“We have always been able to provide medical treatment for our ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients, but now with our state-of-the-art biplane machine (see image) and 24/7 multidisciplinary team, we are also able to provide interventional therapies such as stroke thrombectomy and aneurysm coiling. This means faster treatments and better outcomes for patients in our community,” said Dr. Pande.
