Stephanie Tijerina named COO HCA Florida Northside Hospital

Tijerina brings more than 15 years of diverse healthcare experience to her new role that  includes joining HCA Healthcare as the West Florida Division’s performance improvement labor manager in 2015.

Stephanie Tijerina joined HCA Florida Northside Hospital today as chief operating officer. She previously served as vice president of operations at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital since July 2021. 

“Stephanie’s enthusiasm and strong record of success in hospital and physician practice operations, strategic planning and quality will support our ongoing focus of bringing the latest technology and high quality healthcare services to the community” said Northside Hospital Chief Executive Officer Philip Marchesini.

Tijerina brings more than 15 years of diverse healthcare experience to her new role that  includes joining HCA Healthcare as the West Florida Division’s performance improvement labor manager in 2015.  She transitioned in 2017 to the Physician Services Group (PSG) as the director of care coordination and government programs and was promoted in 2019 to the director of development before joining Trinity Hospital.  Prior to HCA Healthcare, she held various roles with Sea Mar Community Health Center in Seattle, Washington. 

Born in Chicago, Illinois,  Stephanie received her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University and her master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas.  She is also a United States Navy Reserves commissioned officer with more than 12 years of healthcare administrator experience.
