Directions to our main hospital and emergency room
From Interstate-75: Take exit 387 to Newberry Road (State Road 26). Head east on Newberry Road and turn at the left light at NW 66th Street. The main entrance to the hospital will be located immediately on your right. The Emergency Department will be located just past the main entrance on your right.
From Highway 441: Turn west onto University Avenue (Newberry Road, State Road 26). Proceed for approximately four miles and remain in the right lane. Turn right at the light at NW 66th Street. The main entrance to the hospital will be located immediately on your right. The Emergency Department will be located just past the main entrance on your right.
Patient and visitor parking
- Patients and visitors may park in any one of four parking garages located on our campus:
- P1 Garage — Located on 66th Street right by the Emergency Department and main entrance to the hospital
- P2 Garage — Just south of the Cancer Center
- P3 Garage — Adjacent to the Medical Arts Building on the east side of the campus
- P4 Garage — Located across from The Physicians’ Specialty Tower/Women’s Center and diagonal to the Duck Pond.
- Patients and visitors may park in any surface parking on campus that does not require gate access and that does not have signage reserving that parking for specific users.
- Accessible parking is available in each of the garages.
- Accessible parking is also available in the surface parking lot just outside of the Physician’s Specialty Tower entrance.
- Patients and visitors may request a ride from any parking area. This service is available Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Call security to request a ride at (352) 333-4822
Preparing for surgery
If you are scheduled for surgery at our hospital, we will be with you every step of the way. Our team is dedicated to ensuring you have the education and tools necessary to aid in a healthy, safe and speedy recovery.
Visitor hours
We understand the importance of friends and family being able to visit patients. We also know that the patients need a substantial amount of rest in order to get better. Therefore, in general, visitor hours are from 5:30am to 8:00pm. Please review our most-up-to-date visitor policy before visiting a loved one at our hospital.
Our cafeteria is located on the first level of the main hospital by the Gift Shop. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Grab a bite to eat during these hours:
6:30am – 9:30am
10:00am – 4:00pm
4:30pm – 7:00pm

We participate in the authorized Optum VA Community Care program under the Mission Act. As an Optum provider, we invite you to visit us for your healthcare needs when timely access to specific VA services may not be available.
We are a fully-accredited healthcare facility with more than 2,700 employees and more than 480 medical providers. We are a 510-bed, acute-care hospital that offers 24/7 Emergency Services at four locations in North Central Florida: our main campus, West End, Millhopper and Starke. Our HCA Florida North Florida Hospital Starke Emergency location offers the renowned, high-quality care we provide in Gainesville to those in Starke and Bradford County. Starke Emergency also provides mammography, outpatient radiology, outpatient laboratory and occupational health services to community providers in Bradford County and surrounding communities.

You can contact our nurses 24 hours a day by phone.
Plus Care Network
If your doctor recommends additional care to aid in your recovery after leaving the hospital, such as inpatient rehabilitation or at a skilled nursing facility, we can help.
Through our Plus Care Network, we have developed a network of agencies who meet our standards and can provide the help you need.
It is your right to choose your post-hospital facility/agency, but as part of our commitment to patient care, it is our responsibility to help you choose the one that will best meet your needs.
