Northside Hospital hosts lecture: What is spinal stenosis?

Dr. Nienke will explain what causes spinal stenosis, what symptoms you may have and what the treatments are.

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is excited to bring timely health topics to our community, allowing participants to meet medical experts, during a lunch and learn format. HCA Florida Northside Hospital Orthopedics and Spine Center with Orthopedic surgeon, Thomas Nienke, D.O. will present What is Spinal Stenosis? on Wednesday, January 31st from noon to 1 p.m.

Spinal stenosis is very common and with more than 3 million cases per year in the United States. It involves the narrowing of one of more spaces in the spinal canal, that can put pressure on the spinal cord and nerves causing pain. Dr. Nienke will explain what causes spinal stenosis, what symptoms you may have and what the treatments are.

The presentation will be held at HCA Florida Northside Hospital, Medical Office Plaza 2nd floor auditorium 6006 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, on Wednesday, January 31, 12-1 p.m.
