HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital appoints new board members
HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital announces the appointment of three new board members: Michelle Cook, David King, and Dr. Dinesh Madhok.
Jacksonville, FL – HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital announces the appointment of three new board members. The new board members include Michelle Cook, Clay County Sheriff; David King, Attorney at Law; and Dr. Dinesh Madhok, Vice President of Borland Groover.
Other members of the HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital board include the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Taylor; Youssef Al-Saghir, M.D.; LCRD Jennifer A. Carroll, U.S. Navy (Ret) and 18th Lieutenant Governor of the State of Florida; Jim Horne, former Commissioner of Education and State Senator of the State of Florida; Deevid Miller, M.D.; Robert “Roland” Powers, D.O.; Bridget Roberts, Partner with Tight Lines Capital; Admiral Jack Scorby, Jr., former Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Jacksonville; and Michelle Sjogren, AVP for Institutional Advancement and Strategic Communications at St. Johns River State College.
The board serves as the local governing body delegated with authority and responsibility to ensure quality medical care for the community. They also aid the medical staff and hospital administration in an advisory and oversight capacity.
New board members are joining HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital at a time of extensive growth and development.
Over the past couple years, the hospital has:
- invested almost $250 million to expand capacity and elevate its services to meet the growing needs of its community
- completed the five-story, 96-bed East Tower expansion that houses state-of-the-art rooms for medical and surgical patients.
- opened an additional 20-bed Intensive Care Unit.
Currently, the hospital is working on:
- modernizing and expanding its Imaging assets
- doubling the size of the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit
- increasing its Cardiovascular Care capabilities
- development of a graduate medical education Simulation Center

This achievement puts these HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance. The hospital is also among the top in the state in numerous key specialties. These achievements include 2nd in the state for Critical Care, Neurosciences and Stroke Care, as well as 4th in the state for Gastrointestinal Care and 5th in the state for Vascular Surgery.
