We are an extension of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. We opened in 2002 to meet the healthcare needs of the growing population of West Marion County. Our 222-bed hospital features all private rooms and offers a full-service emergency room, as well as Marion County’s only inpatient Orthopedic Joint Care Center.

Our medical services include surgical procedures, radiological services, urologic treatments, inpatient wound care for chronic wounds, oncology care and various outpatient services.

Cardiology

As part of the full continuum of cardiac care, we provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation programs.

Our “Take Charge” Cardiac Rehabilitation outpatient program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). We offer this medically supervised, structured education and exercise regimen in our newly expanded and renovated facility of West Marion Community Hospital for a nominal monthly fee.

We are also an accredited Chest Pain Center, designated by the American College of Cardiology for our commitment to excellence in heart attack care.

Cancer care

Our cancer care services are the only accredited oncology services in Marion County. The American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer accredited our oncology screening, education, treatment and recovery therapies.

Emergency care

We provide rapid, lifesaving emergency care when you need it most. Our emergency room (ER) features dedicated units for neurological and cardiovascular care. For our patients' convenience, we also include self check-in kiosks and a Care Path service to cut down wait times for patients with less serious injuries and illnesses.

We also provide QuickCare, an extension of our ER. QuickCare is focused on life’s minor emergencies and illnesses that need immediate attention but not the attention of a hospital-based ER.

Women's care

We offer a dedicated unit and staff to treat medical conditions affecting women. In a calming, spa-like atmosphere, our experienced gynecologists and women's care specialists provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services. We have also been recognized by Healthgrades for our excellence in gynecologic surgery.

Robot-assisted surgery

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital has achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). The recognition means the SRC recognizes our expertise in providing high-quality surgical care and patient safety.

Robotic-assisted surgery allows our surgeons to use high-definition imaging to guide robotic arms to complete surgical procedures. This minimally invasive procedure allows our surgeons to complete surgical treatment with increased visualization and precision.
