Patricia Sedlmeier was active and busy until she fell and broke her hip during COVID. She had surgery but was still in constant pain. She went to see Dr. Joshua Greenspoon who told her she needed another surgery, this time at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. Patricia says from the moment she entered the hospital she was treated with kindness and compassion. She said everyone from the volunteers who greeted her to registration to her anesthesiologist were all helpful and kind. As she was being discharged, the nurse taking her out in the wheelchair even offered her a hug.

Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Greenspoon says the hip surgery was complicated, but Patricia did well. Four weeks after her procedure, she was walking with no pain.

“This opened so many doors for me. I look forward to being back on the boat and back on the beach. I am even hoping to explore pickle ball for the first time!” said Patricia. Her husband added, “I am looking forward to getting her on the course so she can start golf.”

“It was the best experience,” she added. “I am very happy with everything.”
