HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital opened on June 6, 1984, with 96 beds and has grown to be the largest hospital in the county with 350 acute-care beds. We celebrated 40 years of service in 2025 and are known for our quality of care, focus on patient safety and commitment to the most advanced technology.

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital - Online Class
Virtual Childbirth Preparation will help new parents be better prepared for their own birth experience. Parents will learn about the stages of labor through video animation, how the birth process unfolds using real birth stories, helpful partner support tips, what to expect from common medical procedures, and much more. This is a two-part series that will be held two days in a row from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. An email will be sent to registrants by the instructor with a link to the virtual class.<br><br>Topics include:
<ul><li>Pregnancy Overview: anatomy, preparing for birth</li><li>Stages and Phases of Labor: signs of labor, symptoms of each phase, what to expect</li><li>Comfort Measures: support team, what to pack, relaxation, and breathing</li><li>Medical Procedures: interventions, cesarean, medical pain relief</li><li>Newborn: procedures, appearance, feeding</li></ul>

Breastfeeding Beginnings class will equip new and expectant families with the information they need to have a successful breastfeeding journey. In addition to helpful video animation, parents will be able to use realistic newborn models to demonstrate holding their newborn, proper positioning for feeding and burping.<br><br>Topics include:

This tour will be led by one of our childbirth educators. You will be guided through our state-of-the-art maternity unit and get acquainted with our luxury private suites. Take a peek at our state-of-the-art NICU - the only level III NICU care available in Hernando, Pasco and Citrus Counties. Your tour guide will provide information regarding what to expect during your hospital stay and answer all of your questions.<br><br>Registration required.
