Hernando County, FL — HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is pleased to announce its fall and winter expectant parents’ class, tours and support groups class schedule for hospital patients. Class registration is required and classes are provided at no charge for hospital patients and their support person.

The following classes will be held on the following dates:

Super Siblings

  • October 11 from 5:00pm – 6:00pm

Childbirth Preparation Class

  • October 5 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • November 2 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • December 7 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • 2025 January 11 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm

Virtual New Family Care

  • October 2 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • November 9 from 10:00am – 1:00pm
  • December 4 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • 2025 January 18 10:00am – 1:00pm

Breastfeeding Beginnings

  • October 5 from 9:00am – 11:00am
  • November 2 from 9:00am – 11:00am
  • December 7 from 9:00am – 11:00am
  • 2025 January 11 from 9:00am – 11:00am

Virtual Breastfeeding Beginnings

  • October 9 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
  • November 13 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
  • December 11 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
  • 2025 January 15 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Virtual Childbirth Preparation

  • October 15 & 16 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm (both evenings – 2 session class)
  • November 5 & 6 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm (both evenings – 2 session class)
  • December 17 & 18 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm (both evenings – 2 session class)
  • 2025 January 8 & 9 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm (both evenings – 2 session class)

Expecting and New Parent Support Group

  • October 8 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • November 12 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • December 10 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • 2025 January 14 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm's

Maternity Unit Tour for Expectant Parents

  • October 5 from 11:30am– 12:00pm
  • October 8 from 6:00pm – 6:30pm
  • November 2 from 11:30am– 12:00pm
  • November 12 from 6:00pm – 6:30pm
  • December 7 from 11:30am – 12:00pm
  • December 10 from 6:00pm – 6:30pm
  • 2025 January 11 from 11:30am – 12:00pm
  • 2025 January 14 from 6:00pm – 6:30pm

When it comes to having a new baby, the more information that you have to prepare, the better! Oak Hill Hospital offers free childbirth preparation, breastfeeding and new family care classes, along with maternity tours and a support group to meet your needs. Both in-person and virtual options are offered to make learning easy for you. Class descriptions and dates are listed under the "classes and events" tab at the top of the home page. Registrations are necessary, but can be made online or by calling 888-741-5120.
