HCA Florida Largo Hospital expands emergency medical services for Clearwater and Dunedin community
When it opens in early 2026, the new emergency room will be a state-of-the-art facility serving residents in Clearwater, Dunedin and the surrounding area.
HCA Florida Largo Hospital is expanding emergency medical services for Clearwater and surrounding areas with the opening of HCA Florida Countryside Emergency. The new freestanding emergency room is scheduled to open in early 2026. Hospital leaders invited community partners and the media to take part of the groundbreaking event on Friday, February 28 at 10:00am at 2209 Main Street in Clearwater.
When it opens, the emergency room will be a new, state-of-the-art facility serving residents in Clearwater, Dunedin and the surrounding area. It will add approximately 30 full time jobs to the community including: physicians, nurses, paramedics, radiology technicians, security guards and housekeeping colleagues. The facility cost is estimated to be $22.5 million and will feature 10,860 square feet with 11 treatment rooms, including a dedicated area for emergency medical services (EMS) and trauma patients.
HCA Florida Countryside Emergency will be part of the HCA Florida Healthcare family, one of Florida’s leading healthcare networks.
