Knee replacement: Dennis Tarran
Dennis Tarran could finally walk more than 20 feet, following a double knee replacement that increased his mobility and provided him relief from back pain.
At 67 years old, Dennis Tarran got to a point where he was not able to walk more than 20 feet because he was in so much pain from the wear and tear he had put on his knees over the years. Dennis went to his primary care physician to see what could be done and his physician referred him to Dr. James McFadden, an orthopedic surgeon. “When I first met with Dr. McFadden’s office, I put in a request to have both knees done at the same time.” Dennis ended up having a total knee replacement done on his right leg first, and eight weeks later, he had a total knee replacement on his left leg. “I feel remarkable! I can stand in one spot without having any pain. Everybody I talked to, from scheduling to the staff at the hospital was amazing. They were always 100 percent polite and excellent. I was very impressed with the way I was treated and how all my questions were answered,” says Dennis. Dennis is also recovering from a heart attack as he continues to adapt to his new knees. “I have two new tires and a brand new engine, I am ready to go!” Dennis says that he is no longer suffering from back pain and that everyone he knows has been amazed at the procedure and how quickly he has recovered.
