Our pharmacy residency program
Pharmacy residency helps develop the knowledge of clinical pharmacists and prepares them for active involvement within designated healthcare teams.
Our American Society of Health-System Pharmacists candidate (ASHP) PGY1 program builds on Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) education to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists. The program is geared toward pharmacists who are eligible for board certification; those who are eligible for post-graduate year-two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training; and those who are looking to assume positions as patient care clinicians.
Program overview
This residency offers a diverse inpatient pharmacy experience. Our PGY1 residents will become active members of an interdisciplinary healthcare team that provides safe, evidence-based pharmaceutical care to the community. We aim to create an environment of compassion, respect and trust through medication management and interdisciplinary teamwork in an environment which places the care and improvement of human life above all else.
Graduates of our program will be eligible for board certification, post-graduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training or beginning careers as confident and competent clinical pharmacy practitioners.

Application requirements
The resident must have received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Residents are required to become licensed pharmacists in the state of Florida.
The following information must be submitted through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) operated by American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP):

Select candidates will be invited for on-site interviews in January and February.
