Pulmonary care provides treatment for lung and respiratory conditions, including asthma, bronchitis, certain allergies and chest wall conditions.
Respiratory support in Bradenton, Florida
The symptoms associated with pulmonary disease can be uncomfortable, which is why the specialists at HCA Florida Blake Hospital are dedicated to helping you find relief.
Our pulmonary specialists use a variety of both diagnostic and therapeutic treatments to help relieve your symptoms. We work alongside your physician to treat your pulmonary condition and restore airway function if you suffer from asthma, emphysema or other breathing issues.
Our pulmonary services
Our respiratory therapists provide numerous diagnostic and therapeutic services, including:
- Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
- Invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Oxygen and medical gas delivery
- Pulmonary function testing
- Respiratory medication delivery
Pulmonary function testing
If you are experiencing difficulty breathing, you may benefit from a pulmonary function test. Pulmonary testing allows your physician to:
- Detect pulmonary disease
- Evaluate extent of airway disease
- Identify best treatment options
- Assess breathing treatments with medication to determine the reversibility of airway disease
At our hospital, pulmonary function testing is available on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Outpatient breathing exams typically last 45 minutes. A prescription from a physician is required, so talk to your doctor about your symptoms if you feel you could benefit from pulmonary testing.
