HCA Florida Brandon Hospital invites Brandon High School STEM students to Lung Tech Live, a hands-on experience with the latest robotic surgery tools changing lung cancer treatment. Students interested in the health and science fields will have the unique opportunity to interact with cutting-edge technology and the physician and surgical team who care for lung cancer patients.

Over 127,000 Americans die of lung cancer every year. To raise awareness about this deadly disease during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is hosting this interactive event, where students can experience how advanced technology combined with compassionate care saves lives.

“I remember that experience that inspired me when I was deciding on a field of study, that moment that determined my life path. Our team hopes that Lung Tech Live provides that ‘wow’ moment for these students that turns into a passion for a health sciences career,” said Dr. Bryan Steinberg, thoracic surgeon at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.

This event offers students the rare opportunity to experience health science innovation up close and see how Brandon Hospital physicians are utilizing robotic surgical tools to lead the fight against lung cancer.  Students will tour Lung Tech Live at Brandon Hospital at 119 Oakfield Drive in the hospital courtyard.
