Meet patient Roy
Roy is thankful to be able to walk again, following a procedure on his leg at Northwest Hospital.
An extremely grateful patient wanted to share his story of how his cardiologists at Northwest Hospital improved his life. Roy said, “I will be 65 in May. It all started in February of 2021 when I had a heart attack in my house and had to have open heart surgery. After that, I wanted to find a new cardiologist and went to Dr. Turk. He is wonderful! I told 5 other doctors my symptoms and they could not help me as I could not walk. Dr. Turk understood what I was telling him and sent me for a sonogram. I smoked for 47 years which did not help, but I am smoke-free since March 29 at 5:30 a.m."
"I was then referred to Dr. Jawaid and happy that I was. He fixed my right leg last November and he just successfully fixed my left leg. He was fantastic, I feel great and thankful to have such great doctors working on me. You have no idea how much better I feel thanks to Dr. Jawaid — he helped me walk again."
Thanks to Dr. Jawaid, this was the first leg angiogram performed in the catheterization lab at Northwest Hospital. This procedure has always been done in IR.
