Tampa, FL — HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital is proud to announce its full reopening following the successful precautionary measures taken ahead of Hurricane Milton. After temporarily evacuating patients to ensure their safety, the hospital has now resumed normal operations. Plans are to reopen Outpatient Services on Monday, October 14.

In preparation for the hurricane, patients were proactively transferred to other facilities within the HCA Florida Healthcare network, with the assistance of Advanced EMS, Heartland and Pafford EMS, ensuring a swift and safe process.

Additionally, the Tiger Dam Flooding Control System was re-deployed around the hospital to protect against potential flooding, successfully preventing any water damage. This system was also used to safeguard the hospital during Hurricane Helene the previous week.

Following a comprehensive inspection by hospital leadership, the facility has been confirmed as safe for patients and staff, and all systems are fully operational. The hospital is once again offering its full range of services, including emergency care, surgeries and inpatient care.
