Oviedo Medical Center, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, is honored to announce several national recognitions.
Oviedo, Fla. — Oviedo Medical Center, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, is honored to announce several national recognitions that underscore the hospital’s commitment to high-quality patient care.
For the third year in a row (2023-2025), Oviedo Medical Center received the Healthgrades Gastrointestinal Care Excellence Award™ and was ranked among the top 10% of hospitals in the nation for gastrointestinal care by Healthgrades, the No. 1 online resource Americans use when searching for a doctor or hospital. The hospital has also been named a five-star recipient for colorectal surgeries, treatment of GI bleed, treatment of sepsis and outpatient total hip replacement by Healthgrades for 2025.
Additionally, Oviedo Medical Center earned a grade of “A” this fall from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns letter grades to hospitals across the country based on more than 30 performance measures.

As part of its 2025 hospital assessment, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide to determine the top performers in specialty care.
