HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital colleagues give back to community during statewide We Show Up Week
Colleagues from HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital are going beyond the walls of the hospital to make an impact in the community they serve. From organizing and filling backpacks for elementary children to ensure they have food and hygiene products on the weekends, to donating blood in a blood drive, staff are volunteering their time, talents and hearts to support causes that matter most to the communities they serve.
"I am excited to give back over the next couple weeks during HCA Florida’s statewide We Show Up Week,” said Jin Beutl, Radiology Director at Fawcett Hospital. “The care we provide always extends into our community and beyond healthcare needs.”
Driven by a shared mission of compassion and service, more than 100 colleagues will have participated in over 400 hours of community service with efforts including:
- Packing a filling of backpacks with the Backpack Kidz organization, ensuring students can thrive on the weekends with food and hygiene products
- Shoe drive for the Kiwanis Shoe Project, providing shoes to youth and toddlers
- Blood Drive with SunCoast Blood Centers
- Operating Gratitude & Supply Drive – writing letters to service members overseas and collecting items to be shipped overseas
