HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital recognized for clinical excellence
Top 1% nationally for Surgical Care Excellence.
Port Charlotte, FL – HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital announced it has achieved numerous accolades for clinical excellence from Healthgrades. The hospital’s distinctions include one of Healthgrades 100 best hospitals for orthopedic surgery, spine surgery and gastrointestinal surgery. The hospital earned a Healthgrades 50 Best Hospital for Surgical Care putting the hospital in the top 1% in the nation for clinical excellence in surgical care. Additional distinctions included being rated five stars for treatment of hip fractures, pacemaker procedures and total knee replacement.

The achievements are based on patient outcomes. As part of the 2025 hospital assessment, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide to determine the top performers.
