HCA Florida Blake Hospital is proud to announce its recognition as one of the top 10% of inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs) in the United States by Netsmart Technologies, Inc. This prestigious ranking reflects the hospital’s dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our entire rehabilitation team,” said Steve Young, CEO of HCA Florida Blake Hospital. “We take great pride in helping our patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through compassionate and personalized care.”

Netsmart's rankings are based on a comprehensive program evaluation model (PEM) that assesses the performance of over 80% of IRFs nationwide. This model considers various factors, including efficiency, effectiveness and quality of care, to ensure patients receive the best possible outcomes. For this recognition, Netsmart evaluated cases discharged between October 2023 and September 2024.

“This is a proud moment for our team and a reflection of the passion we bring to patient care every day,” said Cynthia Koski, director of inpatient rehabilitation at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. “This achievement motivates us to continue striving for excellence and making a positive impact on our patients' recovery.”

This is the seventeenth year that these awards have been issued to inpatient rehabilitation facilities. The original PEM Report Card was developed by Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSmr, LLC) as part of a proactive solution to the Institute of Medicine’s 2006 recommendation to Congress that every Medicare provider be reimbursed on a pay-for-performance basis. In 2022, Netsmart wholly acquired the long-standing functional assessment data and software solution company UDSmr, LLC. Netsmart continues the administration of the world’s largest medical rehabilitation database

“HCA Florida Blake Hospital has demonstrated their commitment to providing efficient and exceptional patient care, and we are delighted to present them with this esteemed award,” said Stephanie Stockton, senior data analyst in the Analytical Services Group at Netsmart. “As the creator and steward of the nation’s largest database for rehabilitation outcomes, UDSmr actively collaborates with industry leaders to establish and promote best practices. The PEM Report Card was created to identify and recognize top-performing facilities, and it plays a pivotal role today in elevating performance standards across the nation.”
