HCA Florida Largo Hospital introduces a student nurse workroom for nursing students
With more than 800 student nurses in 2023 for clinical rotations, Largo Hospital is thrilled to offer a dedicated space for break and learning times.
HCA Florida Largo Hospital announces the grand opening of a student nurse workroom. A ribbon cutting of this brand-new space occurred on Thursday, February 8 and included guest representatives from Galen College of Nursing, Jersey College School of Nursing, Keiser University and St. Petersburg College.
In 2023, Largo Hospital hosted more than 800 student nurses for clinical rotations. The partnerships with the nursing schools remains a fundamental part of building our pipeline of future nurses to care for our community.
“We are thrilled to transform this room into a dedicated space where our nurse students are encouraged to take a moment to recharge and refuel” shared Amelia Russell, Chief Nurse Officer at HCA Florida Largo Hospital.
The space offers the following amenities that our student nurses can utilize during their break and learning times:

- Classroom space for teaching opportunities
