HCA Florida Memorial Hospital welcomes new Head and Neck surgeon, Dr. Russell Smith
Board certified and fellowship trained head and neck surgeon, Russell B. Smith, MD, has joined the dedicated care team at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital.
Jacksonville, Fla. — HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is excited to announce that board certified and fellowship trained head and neck surgeon, Russell B. Smith, MD, has joined the facility’s dedicated care team.
Dr. Russell Smith provides advanced surgical care to treat a broad range of head and neck conditions. These include head and neck cancers affecting the mouth, throat, voice box, sinonasal cavities, and skin. He also treats conditions of thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary glands.
He will join HCA Florida Healthcare’s more than 650 affiliated sites of care in Florida-the largest network of hospitals and physician practices across the state.

Dr. Smith completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics and completed his fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Advanced Head and Neck Reconstruction at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He has completed additional training to include transoral robotic surgery as well as point of care ultrasound as part of his practice.
