HCA Florida South Shore Hospital supports caregiver recovery
Hospital colleagues receive fuel from a tanker truck that arrived onsite to ensure hospital caregivers could continue to get to the hospital to care for patients.
Sun City Center, FL – HCA Florida South Shore Hospital provided gasoline to caregivers today on the hospital campus. Dozens of colleagues lined up to receive the fuel from a tanker truck that was stopping by HCA Florida Healthcare campuses to ensure caregivers have resources needed to continue to work and care for their families following Hurricane Milton.
“Our caregivers worked around the clock to ensure patients were well cared for before, during and after the storm,” said Cathy Edmisten, chief executive officer of HCA Florida South Shore Hospital. “Many left their families and their homes to care for Sun City Center and surrounding community residents during the duration of the storm. Their personal sacrifice is greatly appreciated.”
