HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital celebrates World Spine Day 2024
The hospital's spine team celebrated World Spine Day 2024 a few weeks late after hurricane activity forced postponement.
Tampa, FL (November 8, 2024) – World Spine Day took place on October 16, and HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital was thrilled to finally celebrate during the month of November after recent hurricane activity forced postponement. World Spine Day is the largest public health initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the global burden of spinal pain and disability.
As part of the celebration, South Tampa Hospital took the opportunity to recognize the achievements of the caregivers and surgical team who contribute to the success of the hospital’s spine program. From severe injuries to osteoporosis and scoliosis, the team of highly-experienced surgical nurses and board-certified spine surgeons work together to care for patients with both noninvasive and surgical treatments.
Dr. Samuel A. Joseph, Jr., MD, board-certified spine surgeon, participated in the celebration and praised the multi-faced spine team at South Tampa Hospital. “I am thrilled to recognize this team and celebrate the achievements of our spine program,” said Dr. Joseph. “As proof of our program’s unwavering commitment to excellence in spine care, Newsweek Magazine included me on their list of America’s Best Spine Surgeons 2024, a recognition I could not have received without the collaboration and support of the highly-skilled caregivers at South Tampa Hospital. Together, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care and advancing the field of spine surgery.”
From diagnosis to treatment, HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital offers an extensive list of spine care services to treat neck and back pain.
