HCA Florida Northside Hospital hosts diabetes health seminar and live food demonstration

Nutrition and lowering your sugar intake are important for overall health.

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is excited to bring timely health topics to our community, allowing participants to meet medical experts, during an interactive format. HCA Florida Northside Hospital Registered Dietician Brooke Beale will explain the risk factors of diabetes and discuss the importance of nutrition on Thursday, March 21 from 3:00- 4:00pm. Diabetes can contribute to other health complications including heart disease, chronic kidney disease, nerve damage, and other problems with feet, oral health, vision, hearing and mental health.

Following the diabetes presentation, will be a live cooking demonstration of a diabetes healthy meal. Our hospital executive chef will explain healthy tips and tricks to limit your sugar intake. The audience will then be able to enjoy the meal and go home with the recipe.

The presentation will be held at HCA Florida Northside Hospital Cafeteria 6000 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, on Thursday, March 21, 3:00-4:00pm.
