Philip Marchesini named CEO for HCA Florida Northside Hospital

His promotion follows his success as COO at Largo Hospital.

Tampa, FL — Philip Marchesini has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for HCA Florida Northside Hospital, effective today. Marchesini had served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at HCA Florida Largo Hospital since February 2022.

“Phil has done an outstanding job supporting the growth of Largo Hospital’s surgical program, including the cardiovascular and transplant services through a focus on building strong physician relationships and well-planned and executed renovation projects,” said Jyric Sims, president of HCA Healthcare West Florida Division. “We’re very excited to welcome him to Northside Hospital where we know he will continue to contribute to the growth and expansion of our network.”

Prior to Largo Hospital, Marchesini served as COO of HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital for more than two years. He joined HCA Healthcare from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania's 412-bed Community Health Systems hospital where he served as the Assistant CEO and also served as the Interim CEO of the network’s behavioral health hospital. Philip began his career in Philadelphia practicing law.

He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Florida State University, a Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
