St. Petersburg Hospital welcomes Maria Caruso as interim chief financial officer
Maria Caruso has been named the Interim CFO of HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital.
St. Petersburg, FL — This week, HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital Interim CEO Brent Burish announced Maria Caruso’s appointment as the hospital’s interim chief financial officer (CFO).
Maria has been a hospital financial leader for over 15 years, including serving as the CFO at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital since early 2019. During her tenure, she has successfully supported ongoing service line development while directly overseeing multiple departments with high colleague engagement. Prior to joining HCA Healthcare, Maria held multiple financial roles with Community Health Systems, progressing from financial analyst to controller to assistant CFO, before ultimately serving as CFO at Venice Regional Medical Center.
In the position of interim CFO, Maria will have direct oversight over financial operations and departments for all enterprise lines of business affiliated with HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. Maria will also continue to serve as the CFO at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration specializing in Mass Communications and Economics from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Argosy University. Maria and her husband are proud parents to three boys and enjoy outdoor living, including camping and boating, in their free time.
