In July, Stephanie Spangler was the victim of a hit and run by a dump truck. During the accident, her leg was run over resulting in the loss of her left leg and multiple fractures to her right foot.

Following surgery at Orange Park Hospital, she was unable to put weight on her legs, requiring assistance to do all activities for her daily life. After just over a week of rehabilitation at Orange Park Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, Stephanie was able to perform all of her usual functions without assistance.

“Tennille was great. I had anxiety seeing my leg for the first time. I was crying and crying and she helped me calm down and stayed with me until she knew I was going to be okay,” – Stephanie. “Remick also helped me along the way and made me ready to go home!”

When headed home, Stephanie shared that she was most excited to get back to taking care of her turtle and two pet birds.
