I was at the right place, at the right time
Terre is thankful for the outstanding staff at FWBMC.
Terre Carr came into Fort Walton-Destin Hospital with polio, a failing kidney and diabetes. So when she found out she also had COVID-19, she was uncertain of what would happen until her medical team put her to ease. “I had complete confidence in my physician and my entire care team. There are some really outstanding staff and nurses here at FWBMC. I especially loved the daily blessing that was announced daily on the overhead intercom. It was so comforting,” stated Terre. “I am thankful to be here today to truly thank them for saving my life.” Terre's physician started her immediately on medication to treat the COVID-19 illness and symptoms. She said her entire care team were so dedicated to her and to their other patients, it was truly amazing to see. She also attributes her survival to her faith, positive outlook, and all the prayers she knew were being sent her way.
