Brandon Barrett promoted to assistant chief financial officer at JFK Hospital
HCA Florida JFK Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in the state, is proud to announce the promotion of Brandon Barrett to the position of assistant chief financial officer, effective March 24, 2025.
Brandon has been an integral part of the hospital’s finance team since June 2024, serving as controller at HCA Florida JFK Hospital. Prior to that, he was assistant controller at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Ft. Pierce for nearly two years. His career with HCA Healthcare began five years ago when he joined the Physician Services Group in Nashville, Tennessee, where he held multiple accounting roles that laid the foundation for his leadership in financial management.

HCA Florida JFK Hospital’s chief financial officer, Tom Schlemmer, also praised Brandon’s promotion, stating, “Brandon has demonstrated exceptional financial acumen and leadership throughout his time with our hospital. His ability to navigate complex financial strategies while maintaining a focus on patient centered care makes him the perfect fit for this role. Brandon holds a bachelor of science in finance from Florida State University’s College of Business. In addition to his strong financial background, he brings the discipline and teamwork he developed as a former linebacker/defensive end for the Florida State Seminoles Football Team. He is also a proud member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
