Virginia and Bobby
Learn more about Virginia's healing experience with Westside Hospital after experiencing appendicitis.
Virginia was admitted to Westside Hospital after feeling a lot of pain caused by appendicitis. One morning she woke up feeling a little worse than usual and was ready to have a bad day, however, EVS associate Renocia S. went out of her way and took the time to make her smile.
Here’s what Virginia and her husband Bobby had to say about their experience at Westside:
“I was feeling a little extra under the weather one day. I had really bad pain and it was definitely stressing and frustrating. Ren came into my room to do her daily cleaning and saw me crying. Her compassion was automatic and she asked me if it was okay for her to sit down and talk to me. She actually sat down and took the time to hear me vent and listen to my concerns. She told me it would be okay and I just believed her. Her honesty and loyalty was just so evident. I felt so good and I felt like I had some hope that I’d get better soon. From that day forward, her and her positive energy just makes my day every single time she enters my room.” — Virginia
“As a husband, it makes me feel that when I’m not here, my wife has someone to comfort her. On top of being so welcoming, Ren is thorough and amazing at her job. I see that she’s like this with every room and every patient, not just us. So her consistency is incredible and that’s the type of person that is needed in healthcare. We are all going through something, no matter what it is. We all are. Her job is so important because she’s cleaning up after people, but she is doing it with her heart.“ — Bobby
