Volunteers

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is excited to welcome back volunteers. If you are motivated to donate your time and talents, we invite you to join our team.

Volunteer opportunities (18+)

Your time, talent and care are greatly needed. In return, enjoy new friendships and a great deal of personal satisfaction. Volunteers help make that difference. By offering their time, our volunteers provide support, encouragement and a fresh perspective to patients and the hospital. In return, volunteers become part of our family, and they join the team of physicians, nurses, staff members and others who make our patients feel at home.

Volunteer opportunities exist in many areas from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our volunteer coordinator will work with each new volunteer to find an assignment that matches his or her interests, skills and motivation.

VolunTEENS (15-17 years of age)

Mature and driven teenagers aged 15-17 are invited to join our VolunTEEN program where you can impact your community while assisting our staff and patients.

Volunteer and VolunTEEN opportunities include:

  • Hospital front desk/security
  • Hostess
  • Lab front desk
  • Pediatrics
  • Rehab/PT front desk
  • Breast Center front desk
  • Communications/Marketing
  • Supply chain/delivery Other (specify)

Benefits of volunteering

In addition to helping others and meeting new friends, you may also enjoy the chance to learn new skills and develop new interests. As a volunteer at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, you will be invited to an annual recognition banquet, can participate in hospital social activities and will receive service pins and a complimentary meal in the hospital cafeteria for each four-hour shift worked.

If you are available for four-hour shifts, one or several times a week, and would like to volunteer for a worthwhile cause, we need you!
