Our women's health care services

Our dedicated women's health specialists combine their clinical expertise with advanced procedures, treatments and techniques to provide comprehensive women's health services, including:

Gynecology

Our gynecologists and obstetrician-gynecologists (OB/GYNs) provide gynecologic health screenings and are highly trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Some of the conditions they treat include:

  • Endometriosis
  • Gynecologic cancers, including uterine, cervical and ovarian cancers
  • Ovarian masses
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Uterus disorders

If you need care for a gynecologic condition, our specialists work with you to find the most effective treatment option for you. We offer medication, hormone therapy and other noninvasive treatments as well as minimally invasive procedures.

Gynecologic surgery

Sometimes, surgical treatment is the best option for gynecologic conditions, such as cancer or fibroids. If that's what you need, our surgeons are highly trained in a variety of surgical approaches, including minimally invasive surgery.

With minimally invasive techniques, such as robotic surgery, our surgeons operate through very small incisions. This means a shorter hospital stay, faster recovery and less scarring for you.

Maternity care

The labor and delivery/postpartum center at our hospital is a state-of-the-art obstetrics unit. Here, you'll find an experienced maternity team to support you throughout pregnancy and birth.

We offer a variety of maternity classes to help you prepare you for labor, birth and newborn care. We also provide tours of our labor and delivery/postpartum center, which can help you get familiar with our facility before your due date.

During classes and tours, we are here to answer any questions you and your family may have.

Labor and delivery

When your big day comes, our maternity team supports you however they can. We work together to help you experience labor and delivery your way, while also ensuring a safe delivery for both you and your baby.

The New Life Center is equipped with comfortable, private and spacious birthing suites, and we have anesthesiologists and OB/GYNs available 24/7. Our unit also has a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where we care for babies who need special attention after birth.

Postpartum care

After you give birth to your little one, we continue to care for you and your baby with family-centered postpartum care. During this portion of your hospital stay, we help you begin your childbirth recovery and learn to care for your baby with confidence.

Our lactation consultants are also available to help you and your baby learn to breastfeed, if you desire.

Bone health screenings

Osteoporosis affects more than 44 million Americans and can result in debilitating bone fractures and abnormal curvature of the spine. To detect bone loss and osteoporosis in their earliest stages, we use advanced diagnostics to perform bone density screenings. If bone loss is present, your test results help your healthcare provider create a care plan to protect your bone health.

Some women are more likely to develop osteoporosis than others. The risk factors for developing osteoporosis include:

  • Early menopause
  • Excessive alcohol consumption
  • Family history of osteoporosis
  • History of broken bones
  • Insufficient calcium (as an adult or child)
  • Lack of exercise
  • Prolonged bedrest
  • Prolonged use of certain medications, such as steroids
  • Smoking
  • Thin or small build

Breast health screenings and diagnostics

The specialists in our breast center offer a full spectrum of breast health services, including:

  • Digital mammography (e.g. 3D, screening and diagnostic mammography)
  • Digital stereotactic biopsy
  • Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy
  • Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA)
