Our women's health care services
HCA Florida's women's health care centers provide access to a full range of services, including:
Breast health services
We offer complete breast health services to detect breast cancer and other breast abnormalities in their earliest stages.
Some of our services include mammograms, breast ultrasounds and biopsies.
Whether you visit our breast health centers for a cyst or your first mammogram, we strive to make every appointment as convenient and comfortable as possible.
Bone density testing
Many of our hospitals also offer bone density testing as part of their women's imaging services. Bone density tests detect bone loss caused by osteoporosis, a bone-weakening disease that is more common in women than men.
With a bone density test, signs of osteoporosis can be detected early. Early detection allows us to help you safeguard your bone health and prevent fractures.
Gynecology
Whether you need an annual women's exam or care for a pelvic floor disorder, our gynecologic specialists offer the full spectrum of gynecologic services. We use advanced technologies to maintain your gynecologic health and have expertise in treating a range of conditions.
Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
In some cases, surgery may be the most effective treatment for gynecologic and urogynecologic conditions. Using advanced surgical technology, such as laparoscopy and robotic surgery, we are able to perform minimally invasive surgery to treat a wide range of women's health conditions.
Minimally invasive surgery requires small incisions, which typically results in less scarring and faster recoveries for our patients.
Midwifery
We offer midwifery services from certified nurse midwives (CNMs). CNMs are trained to provide a wide range of women's health services, including gynecologic and primary care services, as well as pregnancy and childbirth support.
Maternity care
Pregnancy and birth are life-changing experiences, and we are here to support you throughout every step of your journey. With our prenatal care services, we help you prepare for labor, birth and motherhood while also helping you and your baby stay healthy during pregnancy.
Additionally, our high-risk OB/GYNs offer complete care and support for women with high-risk pregnancies.
Labor and delivery
When it's time to welcome your little one into the world, our hospitals are equipped with the resources and amenities you need to experience a healthy, safe delivery — your way. Our highly trained nurses and staff respect your birth plan and support you throughout your labor and delivery.
In our labor and delivery units, you will find experienced staff, soothing amenities and advanced maternal-fetal technology. We also have neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), which are staffed with skilled neonatal doctors and nurses, should your baby need additional care after delivery.
Postpartum care
After you give birth, we provide postpartum care and support throughout the rest of your hospital stay. During this time, we help you begin your recovery, learn to breastfeed (if you wish) and learn to care for and bond with your new baby.
However, our care for you doesn't end after you leave the hospital. We understand infant care and parenthood can come with many questions and emotions, and we are here to support you however we can.
Women's behavioral health care
At HCA Florida, we know mental health is just as important as physical health, which is why we offer various types of mental health services to fit your needs. Whether you need help managing grief, stresses of daily life or a mental health condition, we have resources available to help restore your quality of life.
