HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital demonstrated better patient outcomes associated with cardiac care while operating more efficiently and at a lower cost
In recognition of American Heart Month, HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital are pleased to announce recognition as among the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals™ according to an independent quality analysis based on a balanced scorecard provided by PINC AI™, the technology and services brand of Premier, Inc. (NASDAQ: PINC), and reported by Fortune.
The PINC AI™ 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals™ program is based on objective, quantitative analysis of publicly available data and aims to inspire hospital and health system leaders to pursue higher performance and deliver added value to patients and communities. Compared to peer hospitals, those in the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals™ operated at lower cost and recorded better outcomes, including significantly higher inpatient survival rates, fewer patients with complications, lower readmission rates and up to nearly $10,000 in cost savings per patient case.

This announcement comes just weeks after HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital were ranked No. 1 in Florida for joint replacement, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, vascular surgery and surgical care in 2024, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the leading resource consumers use to find a hospital or doctor. Both HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital are also among the top 250 hospitals in the U.S in for hospital quality in 2024. These outcomes add up to meaningful differences.
