The pharmacy residency program at Northside Hospital is designed to develop highly skilled clinical pharmacists through immersive training in emergency care, internal medicine and critical care specialties. The program’s experienced faculty and structured rotations provide residents with the tools they need to succeed in specialized pharmacy careers.

“By investing in the development of our residents, we not only advance the professional growth of individuals but also strengthen the healthcare workforce as a whole,” said Jabr Hadid, MD, chief medical officer at Northside Hospital. “This commitment ensures that we continue to deliver high-quality care to our patients while preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders.”

Nationwide, there are over 5,400 pharmacy residents training in more than 2,600 residency programs and demand for residency positions continues to rise.

Florida alone hosts more than 50 post graduate year one (PGY-1) and 30+ PGY-2 programs, reinforcing the state’s role in developing top-tier pharmacy professionals.

Beyond pharmacy, HCA Florida Northside Hospital offers a range of residency training opportunities in cardiology, emergency care, neurological care, orthopedic care, palliative care, outpatient rehabilitation, surgery and urology, reinforcing its role as a premier institution for clinical education.
