Outpatient surgery center
North Miami Beach Surgical Center, our outpatient surgery center, provides patients comfort, safety and support.
Outpatient surgery
Patients who undergo outpatient surgery, or same-day surgery, are not required to stay at the hospital overnight. Designed exclusively for outpatient surgery, our center offers a more convenient and personalized setting at a lower cost.
We're open Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 5:00pm. If you need assistance at any other time, we have an administrative officer on call 24 hours a day. However, we advise you first to contact your doctor with any medical problems before or after surgery.
Preoperative examination and testing
Completed a few days before surgery, preoperative testing can include blood tests, electrocardiography (EKG), X-rays and an anesthesiologist visit. All laboratory blood work must be done 14 days before surgery. Chest X-rays and EKGs are valid up to 30 days before your procedure.
Once your surgery is scheduled, you will receive a call from one of our specially trained nurses to review your preoperative instructions. This includes what to eat or drink, medications to take and arrival time. You will also be contacted separately to verify insurance information and make financial arrangements.
If you have more questions about surgery preparation, please call (305) 682-7250.
